Welcome to Animal Rescue of Tracy

A.R.T. is a 501(c)3 non-profit all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing of dogs and cats in the city of Tracy. We rescue animals from local animal shelters and other sources to minimize the euthanasia rate in our community. We strive to reduce animal overpopulation of stray pets and feral animals through spay and neuter programs along with public awareness. Our volunteers rescue and shelter cats and dogs in need. We provide medical care and locate caring and loving homes for abandoned or stray pets through rehabilitative foster & adoption programs.

Animal Rescue of Tracy was founded in November 2003 to meet the increasing need for compassionate care for abandoned or mistreated pets. In our brief existence we have rescued, spayed/neutered and found homes for over 500 cats and dogs.

ART is located in the heart of Northern California’s Central Valley (San Joaquin County) between San Francisco and the Sierra's.
